Loizos, the invitation to redesign the façade has been a unique opportunity for Vikelas Architects to re-imagine the building with a brand new identity that highlights the importance of the port and the city.

Situated in Agios Nikolaos Lassithi, the site comprised of multiple challenges. The design brief called for the Renovation and Reuse of the old existing buildings and transforming them into a boutique hotel that combines exclusivity and the highest standards of luxury.

As part of a larger project to revitalize Pfizer’s Greek Headquarters, the world’s leading pharmaceutical company recently went through a complete transformation, going from a conventional office originally built by A&M in 2001, to an exemplary future forward workplace redesigned 20 years later. The innovation of Pfizer doesn’t only reflect in the company’s activities, but it has also spanned in their physical workplaces, since they have adopted a humancentric character worldwide.

The total redesign of the iconic, mid-1970’s, “Hanikian” hotel, embodies elements of topography of its legendary location on the Corinthian Gulf, shaping a new architectural identity.

As sumptuous and romantic as the city itself, Aman Canal Grande Venice set in a 16th century palazzo on the Grand Canal, is home to museum quality treasures including Tiepolo frescoes, gilded ceilings and centuries-old, leather wall coverings.

On the 3,000 sq.m. area of land in the Evryali area of the Municipality of Glyfada on Poseidonos Avenue, it is prescribed to build a complex of luxury residences, 16 apartments of which 10 are upper floors with two stairwells and two basements.

Settled along a coastal road in the municipality of Pigadia, Karpathos, the “ARCUS Luxury Suites” hotel stands a mere 20.00 meters away from the coastline, boasting an unobstructed view of the sea. Originally constructed in 1990 as a hotel, the building has undergone a complete transformation, both inside and out, adopting a new character and brand identity, courtesy of a comprehensive redesign by A&M. Initially characterized by pronounced its arched carved framing balconies, the building now exudes a fresh yet timeless aura, aligning seamlessly with the renewed purpose of the hotel.

The revival of the Asteria development is a project of great responsibility, because of both the natural beauty of the location, and also the historical value of its architectural heritage.
