The architectural concept is inspired by the light effect of a glacier cave. Light is filtered through the frozen lake or the tranquil lake waters and creates magical moments for the hotel guests.

The plot is located at Vothonas Village, Santorini. Vothonas, built between the walls of a gorge, is one of Santorini’s villages that consist mainly of cave houses. The dramatic rocky land of Santorini and its volcanic character dominate the landscape.

Η πρόταση αφορά εξοχική κατοικία σε μια απότομη βραχώδη πλαγιά της βορειοδυτικής Κέρκυρας. Η σύνθεση ενσωματώνει δύο αντίρροπες τάσεις. Αναπτύσσεται παράλληλα στην υψομετρία και αγκυρώνεται ήπια στο ανάγλυφο με πέτρινους αναλληματικούς τοίχους.

The refurbishment and restoration of two listed mansions in the area of Paleo Psychiko in a plot, covering an area of 1,25 acres, was a highly demanding project, both in terms of survey and careful study as well as during construction.

The identity of the glass company was the starting point for the concept and guided to the elaboration of the design ideas. The architecture of the new offices and exhibition space, aims to highlight the building as an “exhibit“ itself, by creating a dynamic building, consisting of multiple glass constructions.
